As the UK government eases the lockdown measures surrounding driving tests and lessons, people are relaxing into the idea that life is starting to return to what it was, yet with the threat of a second lockdown looming over us all, we have to wonder... What is "normal" now?
Today (22/09/2020) the government announced that people should work from home "if you can", Pubs are to shut at 10pm, and harsher fines are the penalty for those who don’t wear their masks and these restrictions could be in place for 6 months. Until there’s a vaccine developed, it will be difficult for us all to reset and live without fear of Coronavirus.
The government has released information on how to safely conduct lessons (which can be viewed here) which focuses on disinfecting the touch points of the vehicle, and keeping a flow of air moving throughout.
Interestingly it’s becoming more and more difficult to book a driving or theory test as 6 months worth of new drivers become desperate to take to the roads, so of all the industries to be in during a pandemic, although you were hit hard throughout lockdown, driving instruction seems to be booming.
What are we doing?
Here at CA we have implemented social distancing measures in our office and garage, all employees must wear a mask when away from their desk and our desks have been surrounded by barriers to keep both ourselves and our customers safe when you’re onsite.
In addition to normal valeting measures, we also disinfect all our vehicles prior to delivery and intermittently throughout the week. including before and after test drives.
We are fully open once more, from 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday.
