Toyota has always been known for providing convenience, comfort and safety to their customers.
Interior
The Toyota Corolla is no exception, as it boasts a smart interior that matches its interesting exterior. The vehicle is equipped with a 10.5-inch display screen that is compatible with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The interior quality of the Corolla is rather good, with a lot of the touch surfaces being soft and squidgy for a feel-good touch. Both the steering wheel and gear stick are leather-trimmed for that premium feel. Moreover, the vehicle has driving controls on both the centre console and the steering wheel.
All Toyota Corolla Hatchback are fitted with:
Driver convenience

- Attention assist
- Blind spot monitor with safe exit assist
- Front and rear parking sensors with auto brake
- Full Digital 12.3" TFT Digital combimeter
- Lane Departure Alert (LDA) switch on steering wheel
- Memory on adjustable speed limiter
- Reversing camera
- Wireless charger
- Smart entry and push button start
Practicality and comfort
The Corolla is practical and comfortable, with plenty of adjustment room for the driver. The height adjusts by an electrical lumbar adjustment, and it slides far back on its runners. The steering wheel adjusts its height to cater to every driver. The vehicle has two cup holders in the centre console, small storage space under the front-centre armrest with a 12V socket, and front door bins that’ll just about fit a big bottle of water.
In the back seats, it might be a tight squeeze for three adults, especially the person in the middle seat, but there will be enough room for everyone’s feet. The boot has a capacity of 361 litres, and it has a lip to help secure things and prevent them from smashing about in the boot.
Performance and visibility
When it comes to performance and visibility, the Corolla does most of its town driving on pure electric power, making it quiet and very relaxing. The engine only engages when you need a sudden burst of speed or if the battery’s getting low on charge. The Corolla’s suspension is unfazed by bumps and surface changes, and it has a tight turning circle and an automatic gearbox that is responsive but also smooth.
All but the basic Icon versions of the Corolla also get automatic parking that can select a suitable space and reverse the car in and back out of it automatically, controlling the steering while you operate the accelerator and brake.
On the motorway, the Corolla has firm seats that are comfortable on long drives, and there’s very minimal wind or road noise to upset you. The vehicle comes with a range of autonomous driving aids that mean it can accelerate, brake, and steer itself on the motorway so long as you keep your hands on the steering wheel, which takes the edge off long journeys.
On twisty country roads, the Corolla is surprisingly good to drive for a small car. It steers sharply, stays flat, and grips well in corners.
The 1.8 Litre engine has a top speed of 111mph with a fuel economy figure of 60mpg .
Visibility
Visibility in the Corolla is good, with large front windows and wing mirrors. The rear view is slightly obstructed due to the thicker pillars, but every model of the Corolla is fitted with a reversing camera, and both front and rear parking sensors making parking a lot easier. The speedometer is visible from both the drivers and passengers seat making it easy for driving instructors to get in and go, the over-the-shoulder view isn’t too bad as the Corolla has incredibly thin c pillars, creating fewer blind spots.
Overall, the Toyota Corolla is a smart and comfortable ride that is perfect for both town and motorway driving. With its exceptional quality and practicality, it’s no wonder the Corolla is a popular choice for many drivers.
